Yapı Merkezi has started the construction of the 3rd phase of the mega project in Tanzania with the groundbreaking ceremony
Turkish Company Yapı Merkezi has recently held the groundbreaking ceremony of the third phase of the Tanzania’s Dar es Salaam–Mwanza Railway, which will be the fastest railway line ever to be built in East Africa.
The company has already undertaken the first and second phases of the railway line. The third phase will stretch from Makutupora to Tabora. In addition to all infrastructure works, the construction of the 368 km railway between the cities of Makutupora and Tabora, the construction of a total of 7 stations, the signaling, telecom and electrification works of the line will all be carried out by Yapı Merkezi on a turnkey basis in the project worth 1.9 billion dollars.
Company has already undertaken the construction of the first two phases of the Dar es Salaam–Mwanza Railway in Tanzania, which will be the fastest railway in East Africa.
Tanzania Railway Authorities have entrusted Yapı Merkezi with a railway of vital importance to the United Republic of Tanzania.
The construction of the 368 km railway between the cities of Makutupora and Tabora, the construction of a total of 7 stations, the signaling, telecom and electrification works of the line will all be carried out by Yapı Merkezi on a turnkey basis in the project worth 1.9 billion dollars.
The project will be delivered in 46 months.
