Somalia parliament endorses Hamza Barre as Prime Minister
Barre, who replaced Hussein Roble, became the 21st Prime Minister of Somalia.
Somalia’s parliament unanimously approved Hamza Abdi Barre as the next Prime Minister on Saturday at the parliamentary meeting.
Barre received votes of confidence from all 220 deputies present in the hall, out of 275 deputies.
Spokesperson Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur ‘Madobe’ announced the decision.
He officially announced that all 220 deputies in the parliament voted in favour of Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre.
The new cabinet will be determined within thirty days.
