Namibia to host African youth tourism summit
Namibia, Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism will host the fourth African Tourism Innovation and Challenge Summit in Windhoek from 26-29 July.
The summit is aimed to be an opportunity providing an opportunity for African youth and startup entrepreneurs seeking funding in the travel and tourism industry.
The chief tourism officer in the directorate of tourism Fillon Gaogaseb said, “We aim to recruit at least 200 young people from Namibia although there are currently only 130 applications received. We hope the number will increase in the coming days and the summit will be attended by 400 young people across Africa.”
He urges the Namibian youth to apply by registering on www.youthtourismsummit.com to share and discuss innovative ideas, visions and proposals for start-ups and revenue maximisation.
