Libya attended UNWTO General Assembly held in Uzbekistan

The UN World Tourism Organisation’s 25th General Assembly held in Semerkand, Uzbekistan this year. 150 Ministry and delegations from member countries attended the assembly, including delegation of Libyan Ministry of Tourism.

Deputy Minister of Tourism Nasr al-Din al-Fazzani, who headed the delegation, emphasized that Libya is one of the founding countries of the organization.

He expressed his desire to develop his country’s role in the organization and benefit from the group’s experience in the fields of investment and human resources.

In his speech, Al-Fazzani presented his government’s efforts to develop tourism in Libya, including the Return to Life plan launched in 2021.

In the three-day assembly, countries discussed ways to develop the worldwide tourism sector.
