France’ president Macron and CAR president Touadera discussed the situation in Gabon

France' President Emmanuel Macron and Central Africa Republic's (CAR) President Faustin Archange Touadera discussed the situation in Gabon.

In the statement from Elysee Palace, it was said that Macron and Touadera met at the Elysee Palace in Paris.

The two discussed the situation in CAR, relations between the two countries and the transition process in Gabon.

It was stated that the two leaders agreed to continue working towards the sovereignty, stability of the CAR and the conduct of a positive, inclusive dialogue in this country. And Macron thanked Touadera for his efforts as a mediator of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) regarding the political process in Gabon.

In the statement, it was noted that France supports the efforts of the countries in the region to finalize a road map for the rapid progress of the transition process in Gabon as well as the rapid organization of free and transparent elections in this country.
