Zambia hosts International Conference on Public Health in Africa
Zambia hosted the 3rd International Conference on Public Health in Africa.
Many guests attended the conference including the president of state of Zambia Hakainde Hichilema and the general director of World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
The conference is held in the capital city of Zambia, Lusaka. Zambian president Hichilema talked in the opening of the conference and said that it’s needed to empower health system in Africa and to consider especially about producing vaccines.
The general director of WHO, Ghebreyesus also talked in the conference and said that access to health services is a key point of controlling and preventing illnesses in Africa. “A healthy Africa, is a basis of a continent which is safer, comfortable and peaceful.” he added.
Steps to be taken in the field of health in Africa discussed in the conference lasted four days.
